National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW) highlights solutions to address the harms associated with alcohol and drug use. It’s an opportunity for Tłı̨chǫ citizens to learn about prevention and harm reduction, discuss treatment and recovery, and explore solutions for change.

This year’s theme, Forging Connections, Igniting Change, recognizes the diverse experiences, ideas, and perspectives that individuals, families, and communities bring to the challenges of substance use. Working together in the field of substance use health can sometimes make it difficult to find common ground, yet it’s essential to come together to address these issues in our region.

Stop by the Healing and Community Wellness Table at the Behchokǫ̀ Cultural Centre to learn more about addiction, treatment and counselling options, and paths to recovery. Join us for NAAW events for families, youth, elders, and individuals, happening throughout the week of November 25–30 at the Behchokǫ̀ Cultural Centre.
