Gonàowoòk’ę̀ę̀ Ts’eeda Gha Sòǫ̀mba T’a Dǫ Ts’ahodı(50/50)
The Chiefs Executive Council of the Tłı̨chǫ Government have approved the Gonàowoòk’ę̀ę̀ Ts’eeda Gha Sòǫ̀mba T’a Dǫ Ts’ahodı / Support to Access Land Based Activities program.
This program will assist 100 Tłı̨chǫ Citizens (Behchokǫ̀ 68, Whatı̀ 17, Gamètı̀ 10, Wekweètı̀ 5), living in the four Tłı̨chǫ communities to make purchases of equipment such as skidoos, boats, trailers, chain saws, etc. allowing the applicants and their household members to get out on the land.
This program will support our Tłı̨chǫ culture in harvesting, hunting, fishing and trapping. Fifty percent (50%) of approved purchases will be reimbursed, up to a maximum Tłı̨chǫ Government contribution of $10,000.00 per applicant/household, on a first come-first served basis. This program will accept purchases made in this fiscal year from April 1st, 2020 - March 31st, 2021.
Applications are to be completed in full (receipts and Bill of Sale documents attached) and emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at your local Community Presence Office or the Tłı̨chǫ Government head office in Behchokǫ̀.
Committee meetings will be held each Thursday afternoon starting on Thursday, November 26th, 2020 to review applications. Approved applicants will review and sign a Contribution Agreement prior to financial support being issued under this program.
