The Tłı̨chǫ Top-Up Program, formerly known as the Our Nation Education (ONE) Program, has been providing supplementary funding for post-secondary education to Tłı̨chǫ citizens since 1997. Through financial assistance, the Tłı̨chǫ Government supports students pursuing post-secondary education, strengthening individuals, families, and communities.
The program allocates funding to Tłı̨chǫ citizens enrolled in full-time studies at recognized educational institutions. Part-time studies and Adult Basic Education (ABE) programs are also not eligible.
This financial assistance is intended to supplement other sources of income available to students, such as savings, employment earnings, scholarships, bursaries, and Student Financial Assistance (SFA) programs from other governments. However, applications from Tłı̨chǫ citizens who receive Impact Benefit Agreement (IBA) student financial assistance or land-claim-funded student financial assistance from other First Nations organizations will not be approved.
