Behchokǫ̀, NT (June 1, 2024) - The Chiefs Executive Council (CEC) has approved the 2024 Harvest Subsidy Payment of $250 to each enrolled Tłı̨chǫ Citizen. The information included below will provide additional information to Harvest Subsidy recipients.
Tłı̨chǫ Citizens must submit a completed 2024 Harvest Subsidy Payment Form.
- Hard copies are available for completion at the Tłıc̨hǫ head office in Behchokǫ̀ and Community Presence offices in Whatì, Gamètì, Wekweètì, and the Yellowknife Office.

2024 Harvest Subsidy Payment will be made automatically if you are:
- 65-year-old living in the Tłıc̨hǫ Region (Behchokǫ̀, Whatı,̀ Gamètı̀ or Wekweètı)̀.
- A child in social services (the Corporate Services Department will hold payment.)
Payment Schedule for direct deposit:
- June 21, 2024 - Payment for Direct Deposit - Forms must be submitted between June 1 and June 14.
- July 8, 2024 - The payment Form must be submitted between June 15 and June 30.
- July 22, 2024 - The form must be submitted between July 1 and July 12.
- Payment will be bi-weekly after July 22, 2024.
- All cheques will be released on the following Mondays after the direct deposit payment is made.*

Please note that the Tłı̨chǫ Government Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual requires that any outstanding cheque that cannot be located and if the cheque is stale dated, the cheque will be removed from the outstanding cheque list on March and funds will be reimbursed to the Tłı̨chǫ Government’s general account.
Cheques will not be reissued more 90-days after the year-end in which they were stale-dated.
To avoid delay, it is the responsibility of Tłı̨chǫ citizens to update and keep current their contact information. Please also note that your Harvest Form will be used to update your Tlicho Citizen file with Enrolment.

Q1. What is the process for Harvest Subsidy Payments?
- Corporate Services will handle the payout and processing of the Harvest Payment Forms. A copy will be given to the Enrolment Coordinator for their records and to update citizen files.
Q2. Does the Tłı̨chǫ Government make automatic payments to seniors? If so, at what age do payments begin?
- Automatic payment will be made toTłı̨chǫ citizens 65 years of age and above living in the Tłıc̨hǫ Region. This includes people who are disabled or legally incompetent.
Q3. What is the youngest age a Tłı̨chǫ citizen can receive a Harvest payout?
- Payment will be made to those ages 18 years of age and up.
- Payment will be made to those ages 18 years and under if they have a child(ren).
