OUTLINE OF THE POSITION:

The Tłı̨chǫ Įmbè Team Leader is responsible for learning, organizing, leading, participating in and evaluating activities including: Tłı̨chǫ culture and traditional lifestyle activities, Safety certificate program and Life skills programs and for providing support and leadership to a small group throughout the summer both on the land and in the community, under the supervision of Program managers, Elders and Tłı̨chǫ Government staff. Team Leaders are expected to set an example through their behavior by contributing to the community in a positive and meaningful way.


ELIGIBILITY:

  • Priority will be given to applicants currently enrolled in, planning to attend, be returning to, or beginning full-time studies at a recognized post-secondary institution, in the fall.
  • Successful candidates will need to submit a current Criminal Record Check.
  • Ability to speak and understand Tłı̨chǫ Yati is an asset. 
     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 3 days of mandatory training on the land in June 2025.
  • Administrative tasks for a group of 6 participants including: timesheets, waivers, new hire forms, etc.
  • Working with, supporting and coordinating activities on the land with Elders.
  • Develop Schedules, Budgets and Program Ideas.
  • Plan and participate in Community Service projects and prepare contingency plans.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for the program.
  • Organize, learn and participate in cultural, traditional, linguistic and on-the-land activities.
