Community Justice

The Community Justice Program (CJP) in keeping with our Tłı̨chǫ traditions and values provides program and services to youth and adults in the Tłı̨chǫ Region, to help reduce the rates of victimization, crime and incarceration among Tłı̨chǫ people.

In each of our four communities (Behchokǫ̀, Gamètì, Wekweetì & Whatì) there are Community Justice Coordinators, who are responsible for administering the Community Justice Program and Justice Committees.

There are four main parts to the program:

1. Diversion

2. Community Service Orders

3. Fine Options Program

4. Programming
