Jimmy Bruneau School is a kindergarten to grade 12 school with approximately 430 students, the majority of whom are in grades 7-12. The school employs approximately 33 teachers, 8 educational support staff.
The school boasts a Child Development Centre for 3 month to 5 year olds, the office of the Regional Post Secondary Student Support Coordinator and the Tåîchô scholarship program, a cafeteria, weight fitness room, science laboratory, computer laboratory, art room, industrial arts shop and a library with an Aboriginal Special Collection.
Elementary age students from the community of Edzo also attend the school in a self contained wing. There are three classrooms (grades K-5) for Edzo students and children of parents working or attending school in Edzo. Since there are only three classrooms it enables each and every one to work together as a school family.CJBS Elementary is a busy, happy place with lots of learning, fun, cultural activities and special events going on.
