TCSA Teacher Training

During the week of August 23 - 27, 2010 the community of Behchokö hosted teachers from all 4 Tåîchô communities.  It was the annual cultural training that take place just prior to the start of the school year.  All teachers, both new and returning, take part in these cultural activities.  Some of the many activities included making bone grease, learning about traditional Aboriginal games, preparing a caribou hide, bead work, learning about traditional medicine, visiting a fishing camp where the nets were checked and dried fish prepared.  The list of activities goes on and on.

The teachers were very impressed with the training and a big Masi must be given to the organizers.  For additional photos please visit the Tåîchô Government page on Facebook.
