Summary: The Rae-Edzo Housing Authority is seeking applications from community Member who are interested in sitting on the Board of Directors.

The Board oversees the public housing operation of the Rae Edzo Housing Authority in accordance with the Northwest Territories Housing Corporation Act, the Universal Partnership Agreement, the Northwest Territories Housing Corporation process governing appointments and revocation designations respecting Housing Authorities, and the Bylaws of the Rae Edzo Housing Authority.

We have four (4) vacancies for the Board of Directors - these are appointed positions and will be for a two (2) year term.

The general requirements to sit on the Board are:

• Must be a resident of Behchokö.
• Must not have direct ongoing major financial interest in any business that has a contractual relationship with the Rae-Edzo Housing Authority.
• Must not have arrears owing to the Rae-Edzo Housing Authority or the Northwest Territories Housing Corporation applicants who have arrears, but have an approval plan in place for repayment of those arrears within six(6) months of appointment to the Board may be considered for appointment.
