National Artist Program – Canada Winter Games

Sport North and the NWT Arts Council are seeking young artists who are interested in participating at the 2011 Canada WinterGames in Halifax, Nova Scotia as Team NWT cultural delegates.The National Artist Program brings together young artists from each province/territory, with professional artists from each discipline to collaborate in a two-week creative mentorship (February 11-27, 2011).

A delegation of 3 artists and 1 chaperone will be selected. Each participant must be between the ages of 16-22 (born between January 1, 1989 and December 31, 1995), and can show artistic excellence and commitment to the creative development of their art. Artists must not have participated in a previous National Artists Program.

Proposals from interested NWT artists must be submitted by 4:00 p.m., September 30, 2010.
