The Ts'e Whii Ts'e Daa Camp is being held in Gamètì, NT, from August 11 - 15, 2010 (Girls Camp) and from August 15 - 19 (Boys Camp). Girls between the ages of 9 - 12 years old and boys between the ages of 12 - 15 years old, from within the Tåîchô Region are invited to attend.
This camp's main theme is "Making Healthy Choices"; traditional practices as well as Survival Skills on the Land will also be taught.Accommodations will be provided at Camillia and William Chocolate's Camp on the land with chaperones from each community.
The Camp topics include: Stages through puberty for boys and girls, Healthy relationships/communication, Survival skills on the land, Safe sexuality: the Do’s and Dont’s, Nutrition: making healthy choices, Suicide prevention and awareness, FASD/Substance Abuse/Referral and resources, as well as on the land experience, traditional practices: ie. making dry fish, dry meat, elder stories, checking the nets, etc.
The main theme of the camp focuses on “Making Healthy Choices” in relation to body changes and stages. With the knowledge gained through the camp the youth will come to learn about their bodies and how they develop into healthy young adolescents in the Tlicho region.
Our goal for the camp is to provide readily and reliable resources to assist youth in becoming more aware of the changes to come and the traditional expectations that have been taught down through the generations of Tlicho culture.
Please complete the attached Registration Form and return it by fax to Community Action Research Team at 867-392-3001. Completed forms may also be dropped of at the Tlicho Community Services Agency Office - 2nd Floor Nishi Kohn Building, Behchokö.

Just to clarify: The Camp is open to youth from Whati, Gameti and Wekweeti for the girls and for the boys it is open to all youth in the Tlicho region (Behchoko, Whati, Gameti and Wekweeti).
