The Tåîchô Government was established August 4th, 2005 as a result of the signing of the Tåîchô Agreement a modern land claim and self government between the Government of Canada and the Tåîchô people. The headquarters of the Tåîchô Government is located in Behchokö. The Grand Chief and the Tåîchô Executive Officer have offices in this community.
